Blog 44 - Divorce

July 30th, 2019

This month we have another guest author, Steve Carley. Steve is a lawyer and a layman biblical scholar. The area of divorce has always concerned him.  He penned this document over the course of two years. If you are not personally troubled with divorce, it is all around you and throughout your friends. The purpose of his paper is to equip you with clear thinking on this subject. Equip yourself. It is an area of compromise in Christian thinking.
Good reading and blessing on you.

Blog 43 - Knowing Jesus

June 26th, 2019

This is blog 43 and I did enjoy the work. This is the last of my series on the Exodus. The theme was lessons/applications from the Exodus. What a rich book.

I think I will review the 8 Kings God called good over the next few months. It deeply affected me 40 years ago and hopefully you will enjoy them. I have lost the original notes, so it will be all new verbiage.

Con and I have moved and are up to 98% done. Love the house and think we will enjoy the city. We are already enjoying the grand boys. Parenthetically, we owe many thanks to many people and especially John and Ami.

Come see us.

Blog 42 - The Jubilee

May 28th, 2019

This blog is keyed on the Jubilee. I wrote a document on this celebration 2 years ago.  A friend, who I respect their biblical insights, was concerned that I was wrong and was pushing income equality. If you get that sense, know that you are wrong. The Jubilee was to have the people realize God owned it all and distinctions and separation of people on income is erroneous. Anyway, the emphasis of the blog is that bad habits, etc. can get us into a lot of trouble. Stay vigilant and continually recalibrate.

Any question, contradictions, comments are always appreciated.

God speed to you this summer.

Blog 41 - Lessons from the MOve

April 24th, 2019

I opened my reading in January of the Bible. Of course, I got right into the Exodus. What a story!

Therefore, I will take a few months and wax on about the “lessons from the Exodus”.

Con and I have been on the “move” again and will end up in Madison, Ala near our daughter. I thought I would end up our journey here in Cumming.  But I am very pleased for the opportunity to take Connie closer to the Lange’s. I feel like the Israelites when leaving Egypt. A major similarity I have with the exodus is my age. Caleb and Moses were also 80 when they left Egypt.

There are many, many lessons in Exodus, but I will only talk over 3 in the coming months. I encourage you to take the time and meditate over this event in the Bible. Some of the topics I am considering
a. Jubilee
b. Trusting God
c. Provision
d. Worship
e. Tabernacle
f. Depending on God

Remember: Store up some treasure in Heaven today.

Any questions or comments are appreciated.

Gayle
